Prescott Valley Raceway will be holding a practice & benefit race on April 10 at 12pm, pit gates will open at 9am.
The proceeds of the race will help offset the expense to operate the track for the 2010 season.
This is something that we have to do this year because of a major illness in the Storm family. Jim has asked myself and the staff of PVR to handle everything involving the race track this year. Jim & Diane have invested hundreds of thousands of dollars into this track to give all of us a place to call our hometown track and now that track needs our help.
The way this will work is a pit pass will be sold at $20.00,there will be no charge for pill draw for this race, front gate will be sold at $10.00 (for this race only), there will be no $$ paid back to the racers that day.

                                                  Prizes as of the post

Brett Root of IMCA will put the winner of the Modified main event on the 2010 IMCA ALL STAR ballet, That race will be ran in Boone Iowa the week of the IMCA Nationals.
Because of the prize from IMCA this will be the first 2010 points race for the IMCA Modifieds.
All main event winners will receive a $150.00 pit gate credit to be used in the 2010 season.
All pit passes will receive 1 raffle ticket for the chance to win a 2010 season pit pass. (additional  raffle tickets will be sold at the pit board)
All front gate tickets will get a raffle ticket for a chance to win a  2010 season pass.

We are working with several local venders for prizes to be raffled off.
This will be open to all pvr classes.

I am going to add some to what Dee said.

We encourage and invite all of our regular classes as well as the clubs.  Dwarf cars, Modlites, Mini Sprints/Modified Midgets, Sprint cars, Sport Mods, Midgets and Late Models. This will be good for practice as well as you might take home the win which includes a trophy and the free pit passes for anytime during the season.

When at least ten show up in any class we will have a race. Each main will have a trophy winner. We could use a sponsor for those trophies. If interested let me know by e-mailing me at batpb@aol.com or even calling me at 623-937-9769.

IMCA Modifieds please be aware that this will be your first points show of the season and the points will go for track, regional and national points as well as being on that ballot.

This will also be an inspection day for all our regular classes and on April 17th we will have another inspection/practice day.

If anyone would like to know more about why we are having this Benefit race you may call me and we can talk more about it.

Let's make it a day full of fun and sportsmanship! Good racing, Good friends and Good feelings!

4 days to get your car ready, It is looking like we may have a very large car count this weekend, so I am asking that you all park close to your fellow racer. Remember IMCA Mods this is your first points race for IMCA and PVR points.
With Paul working on getting the banking put into the track, the middle to top should be wicked if you have enough b..ls to run up there.
